Webby Award Official Honoree
We are pleased to announce that the Charles Ives Music Lab in conjunction with the Boston symphony Orchestra has been selected as an Official Honoree in the Education category for the 14th Annual Webby Awards.
The Webby awards is the Internet's most respected symbol of success, receiving 10,000 entries from all 50 states and more then 60 countries worldwide. Being inducted as an Official Honoree is a distinct honor given to the top 15% of all entries and is judged by the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences whose members include such luminaries as David Bowie, Harvey Weinstein, Arianna Huffington, Matt Groening, Richard Branson and Twitter co-founder Biz Stone.
The Charles Ives Music Lab enabled BSO users to interact with classical music in new and engaging ways by leveraging our award winning music platform. By combining selected musical pieces from Charles Ives alongside a set of contemporary curated sounds, new remixes and customized music could be easily created and shared. The Music Studio launches
Today saw the release of The Music Studio Recording Application in partnership with Vodafone and MySpace. This unique application is an online music studio containing more than a thousand sound samples and the ability to instantly record yourself, share with your friends, post to MySpace and remix.
